Saadian Technologies nominated for prestigious UK e-Government Award

Saadian Technologies Limited has been nominated for the UK e-Government National Awards 2004 which is being run by PublicTechnology.net supported by the Cabinet Office e-Government Unit and the Society of Information Technology Management. Saadian's Prisoner Intelligence Notification System (PINS) was deployed in the London Metropolitan Police Force in 2004.

Prisoner Intelligence Notification System (PINS) is a unique Mobile Application designed for managing the secure dissemination of prisoner release data from the prison service to police intelligence agencies. PINS is designed and developed for use in environments where security, reliability, accuracy and confidentiality are key business requirements. Police forces use PINS to distribute prisoner release data, mobilise their officers and securely transmit intelligence information. PINS frees up police manpower, helps prevent repeat crime and enables specialist units with up to date and immediate information.

The presentation of the Awards to the winners (chosen from among the finalists) will be held on the evening of 19th January 2005 - and all winners and finalists will be receiving a presentation from Ian Watmore, head of e-Government at the UK Cabinet Office.
