About Saadian
The Saadian dynasty ruled in Morocco from 1509 until 1659. The Saadian army
was famed for its use of the latest military technology, military tactics and
elite troops. The soldiers came from many nations and were men chosen
for their discipline, hardiness and courage. The remains of this transformative
dynasty can be found in the Saadian tombs in Marrakesh.
